On Feb. 5, Raymond Genet, 49, of Cranston R.I., was issued a full no-contact order from the court prohibiting him from having contact of any kind, with his ex-wife and family, said Trumbull Police Capt. Keith Golding.
Genet ignored the order and used various forms of electronic communications to contact his family throughout the summer from June through August, Golding said.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and Genet was taken into custody by Rhode Island officials after being notified by the Trumbull Police department.
Genet also had two outstanding warrants from previous arrests involving the Trumbull Police.
He was extradited back to Trumbull on Wednesday, Sept.19, where he was charged with 23 counts of violation of a protective order and two counts of failure to appear.
He is being held on $111,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
